It’s amazing how quickly time moves. I still remember the first time I met Cooper — he was just a little guy at the local preschool when I photographed the school for the very first time. He and his sister stood out with their bright blonde curls and the kind of smiles that filled the room. Fun fact, while in Preschool Cooper managed to convince his teachers that his faithful companion, George the monkey absolutely needed to be in his photo, and honestly, he wasn’t wrong. It was pure Cooper — charming, clever, and full of heart.
Fast forward to now, and that same spark is still there. Cooper has grown into a smart, driven young man — a dedicated athlete and an even more dedicated member of his community. He’s a constant presence at the Snack Shack, helping out with a smile, and is often spotted in the stands during basketball season, selling popcorn and drinks to support his school. His quiet reliability and willingness to pitch in wherever needed say so much about the kind of person he’s become.
During his senior session, we were chasing that perfect in-between-season light — not quite stick season yet, but full of that mellow, moody, Noah Kahan energy. Cooper brought that same steady, grounded spirit to the shoot, making it feel effortless.
Watching kids I once photographed in preschool now standing on the edge of graduation is one of the greatest joys of what I do. Seeing Cooper in front of my lens for portraits again — now taller, wiser, and giving back in so many ways — was such a full-circle moment. Here’s a little peek at his session, and a quiet celebration of how far he’s come. 🍂📸
