Not only is the dam a great location for senior portraits, for William is it extra special. As a member of the Springfield High School Cross Country team, this is a place he competes against fellow Vermont cross country runners - in what might just be one of the prettiest locations around!
It was another fantastic late summer evening for William’s senior portraits. As I was crossing the dam to meet him at the area where the cross country team runs, I noticed just how spectacular the light was as I looked toward Ascutney. The sun was playing peek-a-boo with clouds providing intermittent bright sun with more diffuse lighting. William wanted to go to the top of the dam after we captured some imaging in the woods, and that night was perfect for it! We just waited for the sun to hide behind the clouds and then the magic began to happen!
