Scouting the perfect portrait location is often one of the most stressful parts of planning a senior session. Between chasing the right golden hour light, finding privacy, and hunting down scenery that actually matches a senior's style, the search can easily feel overwhelming. But every once in a while, you strike absolute gold without ever having to leave the driveway.
That was exactly the case for Logan’s senior session. Instead of driving across the county to hunt down backdrops, we had an entire Vermont dreamscape waiting right in his own backyard.
Having relocated from California to Vermont as a young teen, Logan has truly made the Green Mountain landscape his home. From the weathered texture of a classic barn to the quiet rush of a stony stream winding through the property, every corner offered something distinct. We caught the late afternoon sun spilling across open, golden fields, framed effortless portraits beneath towering maple trees, and leaned into the timeless charm of a rustic split-rail fence. The familiarity of his own property set an easy, relaxed rhythm that let his natural confidence take center stage.
Now a member of the Woodstock Union High School Class of 2027, Logan is already gearing up for his next major transitions. While these portraits celebrate the Vermont home that shaped his teenage years, his vision stretches far beyond state lines. He has massive ambitions on the horizon, with his sights firmly set on studying abroad in global hubs like Dubai and Tokyo, alongside big plans for Washington, D.C.
